Ah, sorry to steal your thunder, Scott. I find the old railway lands and St Pancras church area deeply fascinating. There is so much to say, and I look forward to your future post. And great stuff with the HS2 “whatabout” analysis.

I really hadn’t known about the site of the British Library being all sidings though I must have seen them, given my longevity. There were more sidings (coal drops) next to St Pancras Old Churchyard too which demolished an apparently lovely area in the 1860s. No problems with the thunder either. I enjoyed putting together the new material. I love a good deadline! Loved your glacial tome a lot
